How long does a session take?

For your initial consultation, if you choose to receive your first treatment during the consultation, you can expect to be in our office for an hour to an hour and a half. This depends on how long it takes to complete the new patient paperwork, and how long you spend talking to the practitioner. You are welcome to complete the new patient paperwork ahead of time

For each follow up session, you can expect to be in our office for about 45 minutes. Your needles will be in for 30 minutes, and we estimate about 15 minutes for checking in and checking out.

What is in the herbal prescription?

Each herbal prescription is tailored to the patient receiving them, and we stock over 200 traditional Chinese herbs. We are happy to answer any questions you have about the herbal prescription tailored to you! If you have any concerns about allergies or interactions with other medications, be sure to provide us with a complete list of any allergies you have or medications you are taking, including anytime this information changes, as we always check for interactions before prescribing the herbs to you.

Do I NEED to take the herbs?

The herbal prescription is always going to be highly recommended, as it helps your body heal and supports your acupuncture treatments, but every person and situation is different. The best recommendation is to talk to the practitioner either during your consultation or one of your appointments if you are wondering if you should start or stop herb use.

Arriving at our office:

There is optional street parking, however, we have reserved spots in the garage under the building. Pull into the garage and look for parking spots with signs that say "Lixin Acupuncture”.

There is an elevator in our building, from the street level, the elevator is in the center of the parking garage.

To find our suite, coming off the elevator on the second floor, turn right and go past the lobby down the hall, we will be the first door on the left. Coming up the front stairs on the east side of the building, go through the lobby and take the hallway on the left, we are the first door on the left. (Parking level is the first floor, our office is on the second floor, where the building lobby is located.)
